Studying Sport and Exercise Science

  • You’ll take a multidisciplinary approach. You'll study a range of modules covering physiology, psychology and biomechanics.
  • This course offers practical skills for various careers, including work with sports professionals. You'll develop professional abilities and gain valuable experience.
  • You’ll have the option of achieving Level 2 and 3 industry recognised qualifications. This could be in Gym Instruction, Personal Training and Exercise Referral.

Our Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) degree programme will get you working. There is a strong vocational emphasis on the skills you’ll need for a rewarding career.

Entry requirements

We will consider your educational achievements, predicted grades, work experience and personal statement. If you don't meet the grades for your chosen course, we will consider you for other programmes.

  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM
  • BTEC Diploma: D*D-D*D*
  • Pass Access Course: 104-112 UCAS Points
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma: Pass including 104-112 points from Higher Level Subjects
  • T Level: M preferably in Biology or PE or Sports Exercise Science
  • IELTS: 6.0 with no component lower than 5.5
  • GCSEs: 5 at grade C/4 including Maths and English or equivalent
