Overview
There is no direct application that needs to be made to be assessed for the scheme.
You must have applied to Student Finance to have your household income assessed, and have consented that Student Finance can share your data with us.
Once you have completed enrolment with us, the academic year has begun, and we receive confirmation of household income from Student Finance we will begin assessing you for eligibility. You will receive a confirmation to your University email address from UCLan Achieve of your award during the academic year.

In order to be assessed as eligible for the Scheme you must meet the following criteria:
- Paying the maximum tuition fee
- Studying at our main or Burnley Campus sites
- Studying full-time on an eligible undergraduate degree programme
- Have an assessed household income of under £25,000 from Student Finance England / Northern Ireland / Student Awards Agency for Scotland (Not available in Wales)
- Fully enrolled and in attendance at the time of each payment
I am a student from the EU / Wales / Channel Islands am I eligible?
No, the schemes are not available for students from these areas.
I am an international student am I eligible?
No, the schemes are not available for international students.
I am a dentistry / continuing pre-reg nursing / MBBS student am I eligible?
No, the schemes are not available for these students.
I am studying at a Partner College / Overseas campus am I eligible?
No, the schemes are not available for these students.
I have an outstanding debt to the University will I receive payment?
Any debt outstanding to the University at the time of Bursary instalments will be deducted from the bursary payment.
