What you'll do

  • All of our teaching is evidence-based, allowing you to learn the best-practice in assessment and management processes.
  • You'll be able to work with active females and female athletes of all ages and abilities levels, including amateurs and professional athletes.
  • You'll be taught by experts with a diverse range of backgrounds. This includes medicine, sport, physiotherapy, nutritional sciences, and strength and conditioning.

Future careers

Our PGCert in Exercise Medicine for Female Health takes an evidence-based approach to the health and wellbeing of female athletes. You'll gain the skills to manage the health and performance of both active females and female athletes. Our course takes a holistic approach and bridges the multi-disciplinary team that supports athletes.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants admitted onto the course will meet the following requirements
  • Must have completed relevant professional qualification for example in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy/ Rehabilitation, Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning
  • Be actively engaged in or willing to access clinical experience in order to support learning within the programme
  • Have sufficient competency in English language (IELTS Level 6.0 or equivalent)
  • Completion of Academic Integrity Essentials (AIE) module on first module undertaken
  • All suitable applicants will be interviewed. Interview procedures and decisions regarding applications will be conducted within the University’s policies on equal opportunities and Admissions
