Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre

Named after a Preston and England footballing legend, the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre is our multi-million pound, state-of-the-art indoor facility located at the heart of our Preston Campus.

We offer a range of activities from sports clubs to instructor-led classes, court hire and a well-equipped gym.

Fitness suite

Our Fitness Suite incorporates more than 100 stations of state-of-the-art Technogym equipment including cardiovascular and resistance machines, an extensive free weight area, core area, 'Cardio Zone' and ‘Row Zone.’

Get qualified in sports coaching

We provide a range of National Governing Body sports coaching qualifications to enrich your CV and employability. From football to futsal there's something for everyone.

Boxing Bootcamp

Get ready to sweat, build strength, and enhance your endurance through a dynamic workout that incorporates boxing techniques, cardio drills, and strength training exercises.

Clubbercise

Bringing a night out to your workout! Clubbercise® is a fun full body workout with a banging soundtrack that gets great results. The routines combine dance, toning and combat moves with options to suit all fitness levels.

F.I.T

Fit in 30: Rise and shine to a powerful and invigorating exercise class that will kickstart your day! Get ready to sweat, push your limits, and achieve your fitness goals with our dedicated instructors and supportive community.

Charges

Students: £99 per year. To discuss membership, please enquire with the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre team.

Staff: £15 per month, for minimum of three months. Payment is taken directly from salary or via upfront payment.

Alumni: £45 per month (three months minimum). Alumni must get a Student ID card in order to gain access to sports facilities. This can be collected from the library during opening hours on the production of two forms of ID (one to be photo). Sports membership fees can then be paid directly to Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre via reception.

Casual admissions (staff and registered alumni): £5 per session.

Bookings

Exercise classes must be booked in advance using the online booking system.
