We have different pathways available for the courses. The pathways depend on your current level of Korean language knowledge. The programme is suitable for those interested in learning more about the Korean language and culture.

Sejong Korean Regular Course - Beginner 1A

Online delivery

Term:

  • Monday 22 July – 22 September 2024

Course Description:

This course is designed for beginner learners of Korean, aiming to equip them with the essential language skills needed for everyday survival. Students will be able to understand and express basic content related to very familiar topics such shopping, time, the weather, and weekend activities.

Delivery

  • Two online classes weekly via Zoom
  • Monday and Thursday 5pm-7:30pm
  • Sejong Korean 1A Workbook (e-book) will be provided by the teacher

Course fee: 

  • £100 for members of the public, £50 for staff and students.

Sejong Korean Regular Course - Beginner 2A

Online delivery

Term:

  • Monday 22 July – 22 September 2024

Course description:

This course is designed for beginner learners, enabling them to communicate effectively in everyday situations and public places on commonly encountered topics. Students will learn to read and write short and simple texts related to daily subjects. The course also aims to help students maintain their personal lives by providing a basic understanding of Korean society.

  • Two online classes weekly via Zoom
  • Wednesday and Friday 6pm-8:30pm
  • Sejong Korean 2A Workbook (e-book) will be provided by the teacher

Course fee:

  • £100 for members of the public, £50 for current staff and students

Sejong Korean Regular Course - Intermediate 3A

Online delivery

Term:

  • Monday 22 July – 22 September 202

Course description:

This 3A level is a first intermediate course taught entirely in Korean. As a result, you are expected to learn Korean with minimal or no use of English. This course is designed for students who have completed Sejong Korean 2B, but those with equivalent qualifications are welcome to apply. The curriculum for Sejong Korean 3A corresponds to TOPIK Level 2..

This course will cover everyday topics such as greetings and news, home and household chores, and subjects related to exchanging and repairing items.

  • Two online classes weekly via Zoom
  • Tuesday and Thursday 7:30pm – 10pm
  • Sejong Korean 3A Workbook (e-book) will be provided by the teacher

Course fee:

  • £100 for members of the public, £50 for current staff and students

The design of the online course structure is unique and high quality, with pre-recorded lessons for the students to study and review as many times as needed. There is also a weekly in-person session with the teacher where the students have the opportunity to clarify questions on the lesson.
