What you'll do
- Lecturers from Medicine, Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy and Sport, Exercise and Nutritional Sciences work concurrently to deliver our modules.
- You’ll have access to facilities from the School of Medicine, the divisions of Sports and Health Sciences, as well as the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre and the UCLan Sports Arena.
- Optional modules include Injection Therapy or Concussion; two modules unique to our course which will allow you to develop specialist skills.

Entry requirements
- Applicants admitted onto the course will meet the following requirements
- Must have completed Year 3 of MBChB (MBBS) qualification or relevant professional qualification for example in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation
- Be actively engaged in or access clinical experience in a Sports and Exercise Medicine practice in order to support learning within the programme
- Have sufficient competency in English language (IELTS Level 6.5 or equivalent)
- All suitable applicants will be interviewed. Interview procedures and decisions regarding applications will be conducted within the University’s policies on equal opportunities and admissions
- A satisfactory Criminal records declaration (DBS/Disclosure Scotland) is required for this course
This course will involve you working with vulnerable groups of individuals, this may include children. In order to ensure that the University offers places on their programmes to suitable candidates you will be required to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (formerly termed CRB).
