Doctoral Training Centre for Industry Collaboration (DTC)

Our centres

In 2022, the University of Central Lancashire established the Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) for Industry Collaboration.

What we do

Our Doctoral Training Centre provides excellent postgraduate research opportunities. These opportunities are supported by a wide programme of skills training and professional development activities.

The DTC supports fully-funded studentships across a broad range of subject domains. Our PhD students engage in both internally-funded and partner-funded projects.

The focus of our studentships is industry collaboration with external organisations. This is to provide added value to research projects and support the professional development of each doctoral candidate.

Each studentship aligns with our strategic focus and an area of existing research strength. These opportunities contribute to the achievement of regional and national research goals. Additionally, they support development investment agendas for growth.

Work with the Doctoral Training Centre

The Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) offers a great opportunity for companies to work with academics and PhD students.
