Nursing
All our pre-registration programmes, at both BSc and MSc level, include the academic and clinical education required to become a registered nurse and obtain professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) on graduation.
As part of this course, you’ll develop close links with healthcare providers across the whole of the central Lancashire area including NHS trusts across Preston and Fylde Coast, who provide clinical placements where you can gain a unique insight into how healthcare is managed in all settings within Nursing.
You’ll practise healthcare in our state-of-the-art facilities, along with real-world work experience to help develop communication, problem-solving, and reflection skills. This will lead you onto career pathways within the healthcare sector, or onto postgraduate level study.
We also offer a wide range of postgraduate and CPD courses for qualified nurses and a route back for those that have left the profession and wish to return.

I have always felt supported throughout placement and theory, as well as being given opportunities to expand myself as a person through things like being a student nurse ambassador or even school president.
United Kingdom
Nursing degrees are really hands on and mix academic work with real life, hands on experience. I enjoy the clinical sessions being taught in the University and doing placements in different areas of the field.
