How to apply
If you meet the criteria, you are then eligible to submit an application for one of our China Ambassador Scholars.
For an application form please contact our China Office Team.
The China Office will start to review applications from 1 June, with a final closing date of 31 August 2025. Incomplete applications will not be acknowledged nor considered for a scholarship. The decision of the Scholarship Panel is final.

To be eligible to apply for one of the China Ambassador scholarships, students must meet the academic and English language criteria as detailed below:
For entry to undergraduate programmes (except MBBS):
- 3 Year leaving certificate from Senior High School with an average grade of 85% or above* or
- Graded units AA or AAA for SQA HND students or
- IELTS 6.0 (with no component below 5.5) or equivalent taken within two years prior to your course commencement date
- AND receipt of a satisfactory application form (see below).
- AND satisfactory Interview** with our China office
For entry to postgraduate taught programmes:
- 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum average of 80% or above* or
- IELTS 6.5 (with no component below 6.0) or equivalent taken within two years prior to your course commencement date
- AND receipt of a satisfactory application form (see below).
- AND satisfactory Interview** with our China office
Applicants must hold an offer to study with us on an undergraduate or postgraduate taught programme for 25/26 entry.

**Interview will be in the form of video or on-site.
Students would not be eligible for any other scholarship.
