To enhance your work experience, we offer an optional placement in industry, the length of this varies across our courses and could be anywhere from a year long, 6-12 months or a shorter work placement of between 10-15 weeks.
How do I find a placement?
You’ll be responsible for finding your own placement. We’ll support you in preparation for this. We can help you plan and develop your CV and applications, and undertake practice interviews.
The University helped prepare me through a mock interview, and everything they told me was 100% correct with what types of questions and how to answer in the interview.
Postgraduate industrial placement opportunity
To enhance your work experience you may have an opportunity to undertake a professional placement as part your MSc. This will extend your study time by three to nine months depending on the length of the placement. Alternatively, there are opportunities to choose an industry-based project.
I learnt a lot, I had a full years' experience, and was offered a job upon graduating. Due to my experience with the company they offered me a higher starting salary. Having this experience on my CV has definitely benefited me in job applications.
