Methods@Lancashire

Methods@Lancashire is a cross-university hub that provides specialist research methods training for postgraduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and university staff.

We aim to promote methodological excellence and innovation in research, research methods and methodology.

Our ethos is the following:

  • Foster an interdisciplinary dialogue in approaches to high-quality, impactful research.

  • Seek to encourage non-academic collaborations, widening participation and regional engagement.

  • Create events that bring together different researchers from a range of disciplines to share ideas, learn, collaborate, explore novel methodological approaches, and showcase the breadth of social science research.

Methods North West

Methods@Lancashire highlights the University of Central Lancashire’s involvement in Methods North West, a research and methods collaboration involving a range of institutions across the North West of England. Methods North West is the advanced methodological training branch of the ESRC North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP) and the AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership (NWCDTP).
