What you’ll do

  • You will benefit from interactive online learning supplemented by face-to-face delivery on campus.
  • If you’re hospital based and complete our course, you’ll be in a position to progress to a higher AfC banding.
  • If you’re a community practitioner, our qualification equips you to potentially move in to a more practice-based or GP-patient facing role.

Entry requirements

  • Applicants should have a Pharmacy degree and be currently registered as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Applicants must be working in or able to access a practice environment that will enable them to meet and achieve the course learning outcomes
  • Applications will be considered on its merits and in the light of the nature and scope of the programme
  • IELTS: 7.0 with no component lower than 7.0
  • On enrolment, students will be encouraged to identify a work-based mentor who will support and guide their development throughout the course
  • For students taking the Independent Prescribing module must meet all of the above criteria plus be able to satisfy the Course Leader that they have sufficient expertise and competence, must have two years post registration, must be able to nominate an identified Designated Medical Practitioner (DMP), Interview at the discretion of the course leader
