Six UCLan projects recognised for educational excellence

Separate parts of UCLan celebrate being shortlisted for the Educate North Awards 2024

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is celebrating after being shortlisted in six categories at the prestigious 2024 Educate North Awards.

This is the tenth year of the Educate North Awards, an event which celebrates, recognises, and shares best practice and excellence in the education sector in the North.

Winners will be revealed during the awards evening held at The Hilton Hotel, Deansgate in Manchester on Thursday 18 April 2024 and the University of Central Lancashire will have nominees in the following award categories: STEM Initiative; Community Engagement; Student Experience; Campaign of the Year; Innovation and Sustainable Green Initiative.

Professor Graham Baldwin, UCLan’s Vice-Chancellor, said: “I’m delighted the work of six very different parts of the University of Central Lancashire will be showcased at this year’s Educate North Awards.

“We have nominees from our School of Architecture, School of Law & Policing and School of Computing & Engineering as well as our Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Team, Internal Communications Team and UCLan Publishing.

“It’s important to the University of Central Lancashire to have the breadth of the work we undertake, and the many people involved, properly recognised.”

The Educate North Awards event continues to attract more than 400 education professionals from Further and Higher Education institutions from across northern England.
