Job details

The University of Central Lancashire is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the fast-paced UK Student Recruitment team, as Student Recruitment assistant.

The UK university sector is becoming increasingly more competitive, and institutions are having to innovate and differentiate themselves from the competition. We are therefore looking for a highly organised, innovative, and collaborative person to help us in this period of change and opportunity at the University.

As Student Recruitment Assistant your responsibilities will include working with our pool of student ambassadors who are an extension to the team and work on many of our events and activities all year round. The Assistant will support with recruitment, training, booking and payments of the ambassadors as well as being involved in the organisation and delivery of some of our on-campus events.

There may also be the opportunity to support with virtual events or off-campus recruitment activities too, travelling primarily in the northwest supporting the team with event attendance, giving advice and guidance to potential students, their parents, teachers, employers, careers advisers and other influencers about our undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeship provision.

We are looking for a passionate team member who thrives in a busy, customer-focused working environment, coordinating events and activities in support of the University’s Student Recruitment Strategy.

Applicants will have GCSE's at Grade C or above including English Language and Maths, or equivalent as well as a Higher Education qualification.

This role would suit an individual who has experience delivering great customer service working on events or training and managing large groups of casual workers. The applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders. Evening and weekend work is an occasional feature of the role.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact UK Student Recruitment Activity Manager, Louise Welsh
