The School of Dentistry are seeking to appoint an Epidemiology Supervisor / Dental Therapist to join the campus-based clinic team offering DCP support for the busy clinic, teaching suite and community projects.

The post holder will provide clinical examinations, oral health instruction and advice to patients, carers, and others within the community. They will also participate in the policy development and the delivery of oral health education/promotion and epidemiology studies. Additionally, the role requires a limited course-based treatment service with direct referrals received for adults or children, seeking care through the teaching activities on the Postgraduate and Undergraduate clinical placements as defined by the GDC- Scope of Practice.

The post holder will have a first degree or equivalent experiential learning and will be registered with the GDC as a Dental Hygienist/Therapist.

An active networker, with excellent clinical and communication skills, you will have the ability to work well within a team and will be IT literate in the use of standard Microsoft packages. The work requires daily travel to study locations and the ability to travel independently between sites.

Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview and be able to attend and pass a Northwest calibration event.

This position is based in Preston.
