The University of Central Lancashire is seeking a British Sign Language/English Interpreter to work within our established Inclusive Support Team, based on our Preston Campus, providing comprehensive BSL/English Interpreting support for deaf students in academic and related non-academic environments. 

Joining our friendly Inclusive Support team within Student Support and Wellbeing, you will have a qualification in an NRCPD approved course for sign language interpreters and experience of interpreting with people in educational contexts.

Knowledge of inclusive practice and disability legislation/policy and experience of applying this in the workplace is essential, as well as having a proven ability to work consistently under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines. 

This is is a fixed term contract for 12 months (term time only) to cover long term absence.
