Information for students from Bahamas

The University of Central Lancashire welcomes students from the Bahamas.

We have strong connections to the Caribbean, such as our unique medical programme launched in 2019 with The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine based in Sint Maarten, allowing Global students to take the US medical school curriculum and obtain a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree through study in the UK and US.

The university has also hosted important symposium’s related to research projects across the Caribbean, including the Deaf Caribbean Academic Network (DeafCAN) project seminar entitled ‘Deaf Lives and Sign Languages in the Caribbean’ in May 2023, attended by key collaborators from Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico and Jamaica. Our Students' Union also runs a vibrant African-Caribbean Society.
