Brandon Taylorian will host the latest history lecture on the Society of Saint Pius X (SSPX). This will focus on how Lefebvrism spread across England in the 1970s.

This research is close to Brandon's heart as his grandparents were early SSPX members who offered their home to the rebel priest Peter Morgan. Morgan travelled across England celebrating the Tridentine Mass that was abandoned following the end of the Second Vatican Council in 1965.

The lecture will retrace the origins of Lefebvrism. It will highlight several controversies and the struggles the SSPX faced during the early years of the movement.

This event is open to the public, as well as staff and students.
