Join Dr Mashid Nickkho-Amiry and Dr Stéphane Berneau for a talk about the factors affecting fertility. This will include the latest research into treating infertility.

Despite some taboo, infertility is not unusual – it impacts 1 in 6 couples worldwide. Infertility is the inability to conceive despite frequent and unprotected intercourse for at least a year (6 months if the female partner is aged 35 or above).

Dr Mashid Nickkho-Amiry, a consultant gynaecologist and fertility specialist, will discuss the factors impacting human fertility. This includes male, female, both, or unexplained factors. We'll also cover how fertility is assessed and treated in fertility clinics, as well as how IVF cycles can lead to a successful pregnancy.

Dr Stéphane Berneau is a lecturer and research investigator in reproductive sciences. He will share some theories behind why fertility treatments aren't becoming more successful. Plus, he'll discuss how his research on embryo implantation at the University of Central Lancashire is helping couples to build their families.

These talks will be followed by a question and answer sessions. You can also experience an exhibition showcasing research into fertility.

Join us for this important discussion, whether you're struggling to conceive, considering fertility treatments, interested in research, or just want to learn more.
