As a Fire Safety Engineering Apprentice, you will have the opportunity to achieve an academic qualification (BEng) whilst gaining work-based skills and experience. By combining work and study, you will accelerate your professional development and enhance your career prospects.
We understand that candidates looking at degree programmes by their nature are likely to be less familiar with the fire engineering industry. Your 4 years between UCLAN and DFC will give you a sound knowledge and understanding of: fire dynamics; scientific and engineering principles; codes, guidance and Regulations; materials science; and more that you will need to be a great fire engineer. For now, all you need is an interest in STEM studies, an analytical and inquisitive mindset; proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and a proactive attitude to learning.
