We’re bringing together the theory, practice, evidence, safety, ethical and legal aspects of Injection Therapy. Our course will enhance your interdisciplinary working, professional development and reflective practice.

What you’ll do
- Classes are a mixture of lectures, class discussions, seminars and practical sessions.
- Our MSK and neuro routes run alongside each other to facilitate joint learning where possible.
- This module forms part of the MSc Musculoskeletal Management in Primary Care course.

Academic expertise
We work closely with local NHS Trusts to support training and development and SLA funding is available through the CPD agreement. Please ask your manager for details if you’re an employee of a local NHS Trust.
There’s currently no legal obligation to have completed a specific training programme to practice injection therapy as an allied health professional (AHP). However, it’s considered to be good practice by the relevant regulatory bodies to have a formal qualification such as this. You’ll be able to demonstrate good theoretical knowledge, practical skill and the ability to consider best practice through evaluation of the evidence base for injection therapy practice.
Entry requirements
- You must be an appropriately trained and qualified health professional with at least 3 years experience working in the relevant specialist field
