Our picturesque campus is based on the Westlakes Science and Technology Park in the tranquil surroundings of West Cumbria, just three miles from Whitehaven. Here, we offer a range of innovative and vocational courses in Medicine and Nursing.

Our campus is a bright, modern learning environment where you’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including clinical skills laboratories. It’s also home to the University’s National Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine (NCRRM), which trains clinicians in all aspects of medicine relating to living, working and recreation in remote and rural environments.

Research at Westlakes

Westlakes Research Ltd. (WRL) is a public benefit educational charity established in 1992. Since 2005 it has been a member of the University of Central Lancashire family of organisations. Being a member provides access to the academic work undertaken at the University.

Based in West Cumberland, the University undertakes research in a location of great social and economic variety. However, the activities of WRL are in no way limited to this area.
