Health is one of the biggest and fastest-growing sectors in the world, valued at $4 trillion globally. Our Health MATTERS project assists small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lancashire to receive guidance on funding and investment opportunities in the health and care sectors.

We encourage the development of new products, services and solutions. We can help your business to navigate a way around the health ecosystem and provide validation of products and services, showing evidence of impact and benefits.

We are a collaborative project involving the University of Central Lancashire and the Innovation Agency and part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Our programme partner, the Innovation Agency, provides a unique access to the NHS, clinical staff and commissioners. This is evidenced through its work with SMEs via the existing Healthcare Business Connect Lancashire project.

Our programme is delivered through a partnership of the University of Central Lancashire, the Innovation Agency (the Academic Health Science Network for the North West Coast) and Lancashire Local Enterprise Partnership.

We work with business that are looking to commercialise products or services within the health and care sectors and be based within Lancashire.
