The tutors were exceptional in their approach—always supportive and genuinely invested in our success. Their understanding nature created a safe and encouraging environment, which was especially important given the introspective nature of the course. I also appreciated the strong sense of community within the group; sharing this journey with such inspiring individuals was a highlight.

The course facilities were excellent, and having access to UCLan’s library was a great asset. The library induction was incredibly helpful in making the most of these resources. It was great to explore a wider academic world while still enjoying the convenience and supportive atmosphere of Preston College.

For anyone considering this course, I’d advise being open to the self-reflective aspects of the programme—counselling isn’t just about helping others but understanding your own perspective too. The commitment required is significant, but the rewards make it all worthwhile. Looking ahead, I’m excited to build on my volunteer work and develop my career as a full-time counsellor."
