Wilbert Sinzara

Wilbert teaches across a range of subjects in the School. He has particular expertise in the Design, Simulation and Manufacturing. In recognition of his contributions to teaching, Wilbert is a National Teaching Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Wilbert also supervises undergraduate projects on Design and Intelligent maintenance.

Wilbert is currently working on research in the area of Tribotronics. The research is focussed on designing control systems for actively controlled sealing elements.

Wilbert has over 30 years experience in the field of engineering and worked in various structural steel and machine design roles. He has extensive knowledge in materials selection and testing having worked in an aerospace materials testing laboratory for 7 years.
