Penny Davis
Penny is a Course Leader for MSc in HRM and a experienced HRM practitioner. She teaches a range of HRM, Leadership and management modules. Penny is completing a PhD in Organisation, Work, and Employment, and her research interests include precarious work, self-employment, attitudes towards work and career.
Penny is a lecturer teaching a range of HRM, Management and Leadership modules. She is also the Course Leader for the MSc in HRM.
Penny is an experienced HR practitioner working as the Head of HR for a group of private hospitals. She also runs her own consulting business and works across a range of industries, including finance, transport and hospitality. Penny began working in education in 2018, driven by her passion for HRM and supporting people to develop their HRM careers.
Penny is completing a PhD in Organisation, Work, and Employment. Her research aims to understand how self-employment affects the work of private physiotherapists and how this frames their understanding and attitudes toward work and careers. Penny has presented her research at a number of academic conferences.
