Dr Muhterem Sebnem Ensari

Sebnem has a PhD degree in Management and Organisation. She is an enthusiastic lecturer who likes to inspire students in management-related areas. Besides her sectoral experiences as a manager and management consultant, she has considerable undergraduate and graduate teaching experience in several courses in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Management and Organisation areas. She conducted many pieces of research and provided training to organisations in the field. She is a member of the British Academy of Management.
Sebnem is a lecturer in Strategy in our School of Business. She teaches and leads Strategic Business Futures module. Her research and teaching areas include Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, SMEs Management and Diversity Management. She supervises students' projects and dissertations in MBA, MSc and DBA programmes.
Sebnem has been working as an academician since 2012. She is a research-oriented person. She has three international book chapters and many articles and papers presented in International Journal and Conferences. She was a member of the organisation committee of IRDITech Management Congress in 2018 and vice congress chair in 2019.
Sebnem has experience in the Business Management area in many local and multinational companies as a manager and management consultant for more than 15 years.

Sebnem has written her PhD thesis on Strategic Management of SMEs. Her research particularly provides innovative contributions to strategic management literature about 'Environmental Analysis for Strategic Management', 'Strategy Building for SMEs', 'Creating Strategic Advantage by Diversity Management', 'Sustainability' and 'Innovation'.
She has many international articles in leading journals and book chapters published by leading publishers in the field of management. She took editorial responsibility for the book called: 'How Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (Smes) Can Be Competitive: An Environmental Approach published by Lit Verlag in 2018'.
