Mechelle Coulton
Mechelle supports learners on our Social Work Degree Apprenticeship on a one-to-one basis and with their employers. Mechelle also supports running seminars, skill days and training for the Degree and assists learners in linking the knowledge gained from their studies to skills within the workplace.
Mechelle conducts one to one tri-partite reviews with learners and their mentors to review progress on the degree ensuring learners are meeting the apprenticeship standards. Mechelle is also involved with recruitment to the degree and onboarding processes as well as contributing to teaching.
Mechelle has been a Social Worker for Wigan Council for 15 years working primarily in Adult Services including hospital discharge, rapid response and community teams. Mechelle has also been a Practice Educator for over 5 years and has supported students on their first and final placements for both BA and MA routes.
