Matt is a consultant in genitourinary medicine and HIV in North Cumbria, and his research interests are around HIV, Ethics and the Law. He is currently chairing a writing group for the British HIV Association relating to HIV and the Law.
Matt teaches medical students, PA students and students on the Sexual Health degree.
Matt graduated from Manchester University in Medicine, took a master's in Gender, Sexuality and Human Rights Law from Keele and obtained his MD from Trinity College, Dublin. He did his medical training across Greater Manchester and Dublin. His degree at Keele was read during early training in medicine and has shaped his research interests ever since.
