Julie McCartney
Julie is a Lecturer in Mental Health and Practice within the School of Nursing and Midwifery. She teaches across pre-registration BSc and MSc nursing programmes and post graduate MSc Child and Adolescent Mental Health courses. Julie is registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Mental Health Nurse.

Julie joined the University in 2019 as a Lecturer in Mental Health and Practice. Prior to her appointment at the University Julie worked in a variety of different community mental health roles; including Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. Her areas of interest are Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Talking Therapies, with a focus on Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
