John Tuer
John teaches across programs in the school of law and policing. He primarily teaches on the cybercrime program and brings experience in the use of digital forensics and cybercrime investigation throughout policing. He also teaches fraud, money laundering and asset recovery.
John teaches extensively regarding the use of specialist investigative techniques in a serious and organised crime context.
John is a retired police officer having worked for thirty one years with Greater Manchester Police where, as a detective, he specialised in digital forensics, cybercrime investigation and organised crime.

John's current MSc research is focussed on the landscape used in online grooming offending. He is particularly interested in the features of applications that attract offenders.
