Gary joined us as a full-time member of staff in 2020. He was the clinical lead in the University’s in-house physiotherapy clinic. Alongside this, Gary assisted teaching on a number of our courses including BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Physiotherapy and MSc Sports Medicine. In Spring 2022, Gary made the transition into a full-time lecturing post here where he lectures on the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme.
Gary lectures across all three years of the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy programme, module leading on a number of specialist subjects. Whilst emphasis is placed upon academic performance and sharing of knowledge, Gary is also involved in the holistic support to students as a personal tutor, offering both academic and pastoral support.
Upon obtaining his First Class (Hons) undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy, Gary went on to work within the NHS in East Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust whilst simultaneously working within Blackburn Rovers FC’s Academy.
