Fiona Barlow
Fiona is a Solicitor and Senior Lecturer in Law. She joined us after over 20 years in Private Practice. She specialises and teaches in Employability and Professional Skills, Civil and Commercial Litigation, Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury Law and Practice.
Employability skills are taught and developed for students through Fiona's lead provision in this area. She manages and organises a range of internal events and external speaker and training programmes. Fiona supports the work of the Advice and Resolution Centre (ARC) and supervises their clinical work, alongside liaison with regional law firms to provide mentor support to students, masterclasses, internal vacation schemes, assessment centres and Court Marshalling experiences.
Fiona qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and worked in Legal Practice for over 20 years. She joined us from a Senior Associate position with a UK top 20 Law firm. Her role involved the training and management of Paralegals and Solicitors and managing an in-house department within the offices of a client of the Firm, the second largest general Insurance Company in the UK.
