Eve Potts
Eve joined the University of Central Lancashire in 2012 after many years of working in older peoples' mental health services across the North of Lancashire. Enhancing the care of older people is an area of care that Eve feels strongly about, this passion is reflected in her teaching activities. Eve is a Senior Lecturer and the Course Leader for the BSc Pre–Registration Nursing (Mental Health) and is also the course leader for the universities post qualifying dementia education programme.

Eve also holds an honorary contract with a local NHS Mental health and learning disability service and works as an Associate Mental Health Act Manager. This is an important role in ensuring that those people who are detained under the Mental Health Act have their legal rights upheld. Eve uses her experiences working for the NHS to ensure that her teaching is informed by contemporary mental health practice. In turn Eve has turned her experience of working for the NHS into an example of innovative teaching which has received local and national recognition.
