Dr Aimee Batt
Aimee teaches and supervises clinical dentistry across simulation and student clinics.
Aimee is our lead for the second yead BDS programme and the pre-clinical skills lead
Aimee primarily teaches at UCLan in the phantom head simulation room along with delivering lectures and group tutorials and supervising students on the UCLan clinic. She is the module lead for Dg1001 (Foundation clinical skill), Dg1002 (Foundation clinical knowledge), Dg1009/2003 (Clinical knowledge) and Dg2002 (Clinical Skills). Aimee also teaches on the BDS international programme as part of the pre-clinical skills sessions Aimee has been a general dental practitioner in the North West of England since qualifying from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2006. She has been a Foundation Dental Trainer for three years, mentoring and supervising newly qualified dentists, for the first year after qualification. She is an experienced dental appraiser. She joined UCLan in 2018 as part of our clinical teaching staff, where she works full-time.

- Aimee's passion lies in simulation and restorative dentistry. After all it is vital to establish good foundations through simulation, as they are fundamental to be built on in the following years and throughout a dentist's career.
