Amin is a Lecturer in Computer Science and Module Leader for Computational Thinking. He is a computer scientist with over 10 years of academic research. He holds several accreditations from leading IT industries including Microsoft and Cisco. He has published several journals and conferences in the field of computer vision, machine learning, AI, healthcare, and biomedical engineering. He is also an academic reviewer for Nature, Sensors, IET and IEEE journals as well as a member of editorial board for the Journal of Rehabilitation Research.
He joined us in September 2022 as a lecturer in Computer Science. He is currently the module leader for Computational Thinking and support for Network Management, Advanced Programming with C++ and Programming modules across different programmes including Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Games Development, NETS+BAE Group and Software Engineering.
Amin graduated with a BSc (Hons) with Professional Development degree in Computer Science: Network Computing followed by a MSc degree in Data Communication Networks from Brunel University London. He also holds a PhD from Brunel University London in Electronic and Computer Engineering where he researched on using 3D sensing and projecting technology to improve the mobility of Parkinson's disease patients. He finished his postdoctoral research at Brunel Innovation Centre in advanced AI.
He was a Senior Research Fellow, team manager and technical lead for AI related projects funded by InnovateUK and Horizon Europe funding bodies at Brunel Innovation Centre - Brunel University London (BIC). His research at BIC is predominately focused on Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Computer Vision and Image Processing.
