Adam Robson
Adam teaches across Television, Media and Sports Journalism. He has been actively involved in broadcast as a freelance operator for 15 years. Adam specialises in Sports Broadcast. He is one of the most experienced combat sports camera operators in the UK, having shot over 11,000 competitive combat bouts. Having broadcast credits in over 40 productions through the last decade, Adam is actively involved in the UK sports scene. He has produced work for BBC, Channel 4, UFC Fight Pass, PFL, Bellator, CBS Sports in the USA and a number of SKY Television broadcasts as a Camera Operator, Producer and Director. Holding a First-Class Master’s Degree in Media Production and First-Class degree in Higher Education has enhanced his pedagogical abilities and techniques in knowledge transfer.
Having joined us in in 2015, Adam had a prior 10 years of educational experience in the Northwest. He has designed a number of higher education courses, focussing on specific industry requirements. He provides the underpinning specialism required by industry practitioners and experts. Adam has written for the Oxford and Cambridge examination board in the UK. He was instrumental in developing content for the Media Diploma in Education through OCR. As the course leader for Television Production, he thrives on bringing back his active freelance broadcast experience and research to the classroom. He ensures students are ‘industry ready’ to move into employment seamlessly.
Adam continues to work for major broadcasters in the UK providing live sports and docu-series content for a number of outputs.
Through his work in Sports TV, Adam directed coverage of Final Fight Championship’s 32 and 33, Live from Las Vegas which aired on CBS Sports. Adam has also produced content for and worked on shows including: Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, Stoked up in Stoke – Fighting Men, Road to Bellator and Fighting Reds – The Mike The Warrior Wilkinson Story, Adam also works regularly with Channel 4 through their diversity in programming provision. He produces with 8 out of 10 Cats star Jon Richardson as well as Lucy Beaumont, Tom Allen and Lee Francis. Adam is in Production of his next multi-part series One Team, One Dream which is due to hit screens in the next 12 months, having signed a new Co-Production deal with an award-winning UK production company.
