This project adds value to the current GOOP programme by offering a programme of activity aiming to explore the synergistic benefits of engaging in physical activities while simultaneously being exposed to nature within North West prison establishments. In particular, it explored how participation in the GOOP programme results in positive outcomes for prisoners’ physical and mental health and wellbeing, concurrent with improved resettlement opportunities.
