About the role:

We are recruiting for an Assistant Lecturer in Medical Sciences to contribute to achieving objectives of the School of Medicine & Dentistry through teaching and assessment. Working within a committed and enthusiastic team, you will focus primarily on the BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences Foundation Entry Programme. You will contribute to teaching and learning of Biology and Chemistry modules at levels 3 and 4 delivering lectures, tutorials, and support sessions. You will also be involved in assessment and coursework marking.

About you:

We are seeking a dedicated professional with relevant academic experience, holding an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject and a postgraduate qualification in a medical sciences-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry) or equivalent experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning, coupled with excellent presentation and communication skills. A proven ability to meet deadlines with administrative precision, work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and effectively utilize IT and software packages to support teaching and learning are essential for this role.
