Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of building services for residential and commercial properties, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems.
Work on exciting luxury home developments, incorporating Smart Home technology, swimming pools, spas, gymnasiums, and cinema rooms.
Support the design of complex healthcare facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to front-line services during refurbishment or new construction.
Contribute to the planning and delivery of Extra Care community developments, focused on promoting independence and active lifestyles for residents.
Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure designs meet client expectations, technical standards, and sustainability goals.
Use industry-standard software for design and modelling, while learning to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Attend site visits and assist with project inspections, ensuring installations are completed in accordance with designs and safety regulations.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, regulations, and building codes.

Company requirements:

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above

Degree Apprenticeship requirements:

Applicants are required to have:

GCSEs: Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English.

Plus, one of the following:

A-Level: BBC including Maths and other science subject (such as physics, chemistry, further maths). General Studies accepted
BTEC Extended Diploma: Distinction, Merit, Merit
BTEC Diploma: Distinction*, Distinction*(to include Maths module).
International Baccalaureate Diploma: 28P including grade HL5 in Maths
GCSE: Maths & English C or equivalent
Mature students with relevant work and experiential learning will be considered by interview
For entry with advanced standing: - HNC in Building Services or an appropriate technological subject with give RPL for up to 3 modules (depending on the subject). - HND in Building Services or an appropriate technological subject with give RPL for up to 6 modules (depending on the subject).
