Job summary

As an Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer, you will work closely with our team to contribute to the design and installation of mechanical and electrical systems in a variety of construction projects. This role offers hands-on learning, development, and exposure to the full range of M&E services, innovative and sustainable solutions.

Full job description

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of mechanical, electrical, and environmental systems for a wide range of projects.
Support the preparation of technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet client requirements, budgets, and sustainability goals.
Work with senior engineers to apply renewable technologies and energy-efficient solutions in building design.
Attend site visits and assist in inspections to support the installation and implementation of designs.
Participate in problem-solving exercises and troubleshooting design issues during the construction phase.
Gain proficiency in design software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other industry-standard systems.
Follow all health and safety regulations on site and in the office.

Company and Degree Apprenticeship requirements:

Applicants are required to have:

GCSEs: Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent such as Level 2 functional skills in Maths and English.

Plus, one of the following:

A level: BBC including Maths and other science subject (such as physics, chemistry, further maths). General Studies accepted.
BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM
BTEC Diploma: D*D* (to include Maths module)
