Who is this course for?
This programme is for professional managers in the private, public or third sector, of all sizes. You may be a Management Trainee, Manager, Head of Department, Operations Manager or someone with management potential recognised who will have management responsibilities in the future.
What you'll do
- You’ll develop and hone your skills through live projects, designed with the employer to meet their business needs, culminating with a business improvement project that could change the way the organisation works.
- From the start, there’s is a strong focus on developing your employability and lifelong learning skills with personal development planning and developing self and others.
- Through later modules you’ll apply project management, communication, strategy and leadership skills through the application of frameworks in practice.

Professional qualifications
You’ll need English and Maths - at a minimum of Level 2 by the end of the course.
Entry requirements
- The University’s minimum standard entry requirements for degree level study is a 12 unit profile, made up from one of the following
- At least two A2 level subjects including one A2 level subject plus one single award Advanced VCE, One double or two single award(s) Advanced VCE
- Other acceptable qualifications include Scottish Certificate of Education Higher Grade, Irish Leaving Certificate Higher Grade, International Baccalaureate, BTEC National Certificate/Diploma, Kite marked Access Course
- IB Diploma - 28P. IELTS grade 6 with no sub score lower than 5.5
- Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications, relevant work or life experience and who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from degree-level studies, are welcome and these applicants will be interviewed
- 5 GCSEs (Grades A*- C/ 9-4) including English and Maths

Degree Apprentice Care Leaver Bursary

Information for employers
An apprentice is employed to do a real job while studying for a formal qualification, usually for one day a week at one of our campuses or training centres.
This course meets Apprenticeship Standards and your apprentice will have the knowledge and skills to either succeed in their chosen career or progress to the next apprenticeship level.
