This is an interactive course on conscious sedation for dental nurses. We will cover the key aspects of safe sedation in dental practice. This includes inhalation and intravenous conscious sedation.

By the end of this course you should:
- Have increased knowledge of the provision of safe and effective conscious sedation in dental practice.
- Have increased knowledge of national guidance for safe conscious sedation.
- Have increased knowledge of some of the medical problems that may impact on patients with conscious sedation.
- Be able to describe and know the management of sedation-related complications.
- Describe patient assessment, safe administration of sedation, monitoring and discharge.

Applicants must be a qualified dental nurse registered with the General Dental Council.
