Dr Wei Quan
Wei is an active researcher specialising in artificial intelligence, data science, data engineering and analytics, image and graphic processing. He has contributed to multiple UK EPSRC and MRC-funded projects. Additionally, Wei serves as a co-chair and member of organising and reviewing committees for international conferences including ICIGP, IFSP, ICCMS, ICPRAM and IEEE BIBM. Wei is also a regular reviewer for international journals such as Computer and Information Sciences, Healthcare Technology Letters, Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology.
As the Programme Lead, Wei oversees the international engineering programme jointly delivered by us and the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), managing over 30 academic staff and 280 students. He also leads our undergraduate electronic engineering course in the UK and teaches a diverse range of subjects in electrical and robotic engineering. In recognition of his contributions to education, he has been awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy. Additionally, Wei serves as a Foreign Expert at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) and a Visiting Professor of Hebei University (HBU),
