Dr Wei Quan
Wei's main research interest is Digital Signal and Image Processing and Computer Vision and Machine Learning in the areas of medical and industrial data analysis. Wei took part in delivering three EPSRC projects (MEGURATH, ECSON and TeRaFS) and participated in MRC funded “Noisy Knee” study. Wei teaches across a range of subjects in electrical and electronic engineering including Digital Systems, Signals and Systems and Computer Vision. He is the Programme Lead for UCLan-BIT Joint Electronic Engineering Joint Programme as the Course Leaders for Electrical Engineering and Electronic Engineering Degree Apprenticeship (DA).
Wei has made over 30 publications including a book chapter, conference papers and journal articles.
Wei has been the reviewer for international journals such as Computer and Information Sciences, Healthcare Technology Letters, Journal of Engineering, Science and Technology; for the conferences such as IEEE International Conference on Emerging Security Technologies and International Conference on Pattern Recognition Applications and Methods.
