Susan Lewis
Susan teaches predominately on the Accounting (ACCA) masters degree programme. She specialises in Strategy and Financial Reporting. Susan continues to work in industry on a consultancy basis allowing her to reflect up to date real world issues in her lectures.
In addition to teaching on accountancy and finance programs Susan is Course Leader for BA (Hons) International Business, BA (Hons) International Business and Management, BA (Hons) Business Studies and BA (Hons) Business Administration.
Susan has worked in Industry for 32 years. She qualified as an accountant at one of the largest North West Accountants; gaining valuable insights into the workings of many industries by working with a wide variety of clients. She had a short stint in industry working for a group of companies based in he North West. Keen to be part of educating our future professionals Susan joined the education sector in 2004 and has taught across a number of professional and higher education programs. In 2016 she was invited to be a Key Note speaker at the Association of Accounting technicians (AAT) conference. As a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) network Susan arranged events across Lancashire and Cumbria for fellow ACCA Accountants, both for networking and CPD purposes. Susan is currently working with the CEO of a new Group of companies pursuing a buy and build policy across the UK and Continental Europe. Susan works closely with the ACCA to support the Masters degree students.
