Rhiannon teaches on our Bioveterinary Sciences and BVMS courses.
Rhiannon qualified as a vet from Cambridge University in 2008, having also completed an intercalated degree in Zoology. Since qualifying, she has worked in first opinion small animal practice. Although this work is now part-time, she still enjoys interacting with patients, clients and colleagues.
Rhiannon is currently completing a PhD looking at livestock-associated antimicrobial resistance and implications for the livestock industry and human public health. During her PhD, she has been involved in undergraduate teaching at Cambridge, mostly in communication/consultation skills, with some involvement in veterinary public health, and the experience led her to become an AFHEA. She hopes that her enjoyment of teaching and interacting with students, alongside her experience of clinical practice and the range of topics covered by her ECVPH residency, from Animal Welfare to Zoonotic diseases, will help her support and encourage students here across a variety of subject areas.
