Paul Knowles
Paul teaches on a range of international business, international communication, and intercultural subjects, specialising in international communication and intercultural pragmatics. He is currently working on his PhD exploring expressions of the common ground in international news discourse.
Paul is currently completing his PhD in International News Discourse looking at how presupposed content is encoded, presented and (strategically) used in international news writing and how this affects event representation. As a lecturer Paul teaches across a range of courses and modules in International business communication and Intercultural communication at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Paul has lectured on international business and intercultural communication programmes at UCLan since 2014. Previously he has taught English and business communication widely in the UK and Central Asia.
