Natalie is undertaking her research for her MSc within the veterinary physiotherapy field and is hoping to get some beneficial results which she looks to get published to help advance knowledge in the performance of equines and improve welfare standards.
Natalie started out working as a groom and took a keen interest in rehabilitation whilst working with racehorses. From here, she completed a BSc in Equine Science as a mature student, graduating in 2016. She went on to study Veterinary Physiotherapy at post graduate level, based at the University of Nottingham, and qualified in 2018.
Having studied for a post graduate certificate in clinical education, this enabled her to teach practical skills to veterinary physiotherapy and Bioveterinary and Veterinary Medicine students.
Her interest within the equine world and seeing vet physio practice led Natalie to see the close link of horse-rider combinations so she decided to further her knowledge, undertaking the MSc in Equine Science at Hartpury University, due to their rider performance and equine performance facilities and become a qualified sports massage therapist.
Natalie has undertaken extra learning in small animal practice too, completing further small animal hydrotherapy courses including advanced water treadmill and working within a hydrotherapy centre.
Her interest in animals doesn't stop there, she has also worked within the dairy sector as a calf rearer for grazing herds and as a vet physio for some of the UK's top dairy show cows. Natalie is also a qualified AI Technician and has worked at one of the countries leading equine AI and ET centres.
