Nargis Sonde
Nargis is a Clinical Lecturer undertaking teaching at UCLan Preston Campus and the Dental Education Centres.
Nargis joined the university in 2018 from primary care with a view to undertake a masters in Periodontology. She teaches undergraduate students across the BDS, DT and CDT courses, and delivers teaching to postgraduate students when required. Nargis sees patients at the UCLan Dental Clinic as well as participating in research and organising postgraduate CPD events at the university.
Nargis graduated in 2012 from the University of Birmingham and completed her Dental Foundation Training in Ashton-in-Makerfield. Nargis undertook Dental Core Training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Restorative Dentistry and Oral Medicine in the South West and participated in undergraduate clinical teaching at Bristol Dental School. She was an associate in general practice prior to joining UCLan. She is currently undertaking an MSc in Periodontology at UCLan.

Nargis' research focusses on patient and professional education. Working in collaboration with other departments, Nargis has been part of the university team who launched an augmented reality game relating to antibiotic resistance.
