Matthew Briggs
Matthew works as a Course Leader for Digital Marketer Degree Apprenticeships and has taught a variety of modules across a variety of programmes since joining the University of Central Lancashire. Matthew runs the courses at both Preston and Burnley campuses. Matthew supervises final year students towards their End Point Assessment and is working towards further post-graduate research in digital marketing.
Matthew provides leadership and teaching across Digital Marketing courses, whilst also managing relationships with employers across his apprenticeship programmes. He is a member of Trailblazer working groups developing apprenticeship standards with The Tech Partnership.
Matthew has a wide range of industry experience, graduating with a first degree in Journalism, which led to writing for national press and publications. This led to experience in copywriting and a progression into digital marketing, utilising CRMs and analytics platforms. Matthew also has extensive experience in graphics and web design, having worked in these areas of marketing to generate substantial industry experience. Since progressing into Higher Education, Matthew has worked extensively with employers to develop curriculum for vocation-based programmes, as well as providing programme leadership across digital courses.
